The old HTTPS issue. Cert uploaded but timeout from server to accept it

Question

I upload the certificate as instructed, but when I click the button that says "Open.....this link" the option of This Link times out before I get a chance to accept anything.

This is driving me mad.  Can anyone please help?

Clicking on "this link" (e.g., like in the window above) will try to establish a connection with your HUD in a browser tab.

If the connection is successful (you must be logged into SL and wearing the HUD), you should see something like this in the browser tab that opened:

Click the "Advanced" button, and then click on the "Proceed to ..." link all at the bottom of the message.

After doing that, you should see some message from the HUD in the tab (it will just show the RLV version, but you don't need to care about that). You can close the tab.

Now you should be able to use your Wardrobe page normally to interact with your HUD.

More and more people had problems with HTTP or were scared of the "connection is not private" warning in the browser.

So, as a Christmas gift, HTTPS now works for everyone, without having to jump through hoops (installing the certificate, etc).

If your Wardrobe web page doesn't connect to the HUD after reloading, please reset your HUD (Menu button on the HUD (three green lines) > Setup > Reset HUD).
