How to stop Import Inventory from creating duplicates?

I have started using the import inventory. As I add new items into the main folder each time I use it multiple entries will be created for items already in the wardrobe. Is there a way to stop this or a fast way to automatically remove duplicate items from the web page?

When using the inventory import functionality, point the importer to a dedicated folder containing the items you want to import. Do not point it to a folder that contains things that are already in your Wardrobe, or you'll end up with duplicates.
