Quick selection of Items to multi edit

Is there a way to quickly select items, so I can multi edit them Without having to first go through each item individually and give it a tag?

 I have several items that need their photos fixed and HUD photos added, and I'm having a heck of a time getting them tagged without it taking hours upon hours to tag them all one by one.

Yes! As described in the instructions of the Multi-Edit window and as shown in the screenshot below, you can select or de-select individual items by holding the Ctrl (or Cmd) key. Only the selected ones (the ones with the blue background) will be updated.

In the Multi-Edit window you can also see how many items are currently selected, so you get a rough idea if everything you want to update is there.

That doesn't work the way I need and is actually rather difficult due to limited space and lots of items.
